Time dependent Green functions in Quantum Cosmology
The aim of this article is twofold. First we examine from a new angle the question of the recovery of time in quantum cosmology. We construct Green functions for matter fields from the solutions of the Wheeler De Witt equation. For simplicity we work in a mini-superspace context. By evaluating these Green functions in a first order development of the energy increment induced by matrix elements ...
متن کاملTime dependent perturbation theory in Quantum Cosmology
We describe radiative processes in Quantum Cosmology, from the solutions of the Wheeler De Witt equation. By virtue of this constraint equation, the quantum propagation of gravity is modified by the matter interaction hamiltonian at the level of amplitudes. In this we generalize previous works where gravity was coupled only to expectation values of matter operators. By a “reduction formula” we ...
متن کاملQuantum Energy Expectation in Periodic Time-Dependent Hamiltonians via Green Functions
Let UF be the Floquet operator of a time periodic hamiltonian H(t). For each positive and discrete observable A (which we call a probe energy), we derive a formula for the Laplace time average of its expectation value up to time T in terms of its eigenvalues and Green functions at the circle of radius e . Some simple applications are provided which support its usefulness.
متن کاملTwo-point functions in (loop) quantum cosmology
The path-integral formulation of quantum cosmology with a massless scalar field as a sum-over-histories of volume transitions is discussed, with particular but non-exclusive reference to loop quantum cosmology. Exploiting the analogy with the relativistic particle, we give a complete overview of the possible two-point functions, pointing out the choices involved in their definitions, deriving t...
متن کامل2-point functions in quantum cosmology
Abstract. We discuss the path-integral formulation of quantum cosmology with a massless scalar field as a sum-over-histories, with particular reference to loop quantum cosmology. Exploiting the analogy with the relativistic particle, we give a complete overview of the possible two-point functions, deriving vertex expansions and composition laws they satisfy. We clarify the tie between definitio...
